Welcome Message

It is great pleasure for me to welcome you to the 13th International Symposium on Medical Information and Communication Technology (ISMICT 2019), which will be held in Oslo, Norway on 8-10 May 2019. This year’s conference continues its tradition of being the premier forum for presentation of results on cutting-edge research in medical information and communication technology (ICT). The mission of the conference is to share novel basic research ideas as well as experimental applications in the area in addition to identifying new directions for future research and development.

Ilangko Balasingham, General Chair

Already for the 13th time, ISMICT 2019 aims to establish a forum to present new research and development results, exchange ideas, discuss practices, and share experiences among stakeholders from technology and medicine, including healthcare, wellness, clinical therapy, and surgery, as well as information and communication technology (ICT), mechanical, and biomedical engineering. Moreover, national and international governmental institutions as well as industry support activities of standardization, regulation and business models for medical ICT devices, systems and services.
